Angela (front office)

I grew up in the Elon area graduating from Western Alamance and also attended the ACC dental program. I began working with Dr Rafael in 2003. I can usually be found in the front office and have the joy of interacting with our patients over the phone and face to face rather it be scheduling appointments, registering incoming patients or checking them out. I also enjoy assisting the doctor when needed. Over the years of being with Dr Rafael I have enjoyed getting to know all of our patients and being there to help assist them with any questions or concerns they may have. I married my husband Jeff in 2008 and have one child that we enjoy spending our family time at the beach or on the lake.

Lori (front office)

My name is Lori, I have worked for Dr. Rafael for 14 years.  I handle all the insurance filing and patient billing at the office.

I grew up in Alamance County and currently live in Burlington with my husband Steven and two sons Rodney and Bryce.  I enjoy watching my boys play sports, spending time with family and friends, and going to the beach.

Tammie (hygienist)

My career in the dental hygiene field began 20 years ago with Dr Rafael. I have a passion for helping my patients learn how important their dental health is. I try to help my patients to feel comfortable during each of their visits. Educating my patients about the relationship of dental health and systemic disease are very important to me. I try to do my best to navigate and teach my patients. I grew up in Burlington and attended Guilford technical community college for dental hygiene. I enjoy playing golf, tennis, and staying fit. I live with my family here in Burlington.

Amanda (hygienist)

I am a licensed Dental Hygienist and have been working at this office since 2005. I would describe our office as friendly and inviting.

As a hygienist, my responsibility is to educate patients about oral health and help them understand the importance of good oral hygiene, and that it is the foundation of good oral as well as systemic health. I’ve established many great, lasting relationships with our patients over the years.  I strive to make each and every patient feel at home and comfortable in our office. My goal is to deliver gentle and effective treatment so that our patients will always feel they’ve had a pleasant experience. I truly believe that a positive experience in the dental chair encourages a positive attitude about dental health.

When I’m not working I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. My husband and I have two beautiful daughters and a yellow Labrador retriever who doesn’t know he is a dog.  We enjoy the outdoors and traveling occasionally.

My strongest interests are music, photography and animals, especially dogs.

I think it's important for the patients to feel comfortable and relaxed. I married my Husband in 2012. We have 2 dogs and we enjoy riding four-wheelers and going on trips.
